Principal Appraisal

eTime provides appraisal services for principals. The model provides accountability to meet the legislative requirements of appraisal against national standards, but also has a development focus to assist principals and their leadership team to develop leadership practices resulting in improved student outcomes.

The model is future focused and is tailored to reflects each school’s strategic direction. It is based on the 'Kiwi Leadership for Principals' model that reflects the qualities, knowledge and skills required to lead New Zealand schools from the present to the future. At the heart of eTime's model is a clear focus on how to assist school leaders to work together to improve educational and social outcomes for students.

Russell Voller, previous principal of Hoon Hay School, is the eTime consultant providing these services. Russell also facilitates the Experienced Principals Development Programme , by assisting principals to promote a culture of distributive leadership to deliver programmes that raise student achievement. He has more than thirty years principalship experience in both rural and urban schools.
