Today was the beginning of our focus on celebrations. In the morning an internet scavenger hunt led us through a diverse range of celebrations, across different cultures and times....

Today we celebrated the demise of the dreaded Jabberwocky in the poem of the same name by Lewis Carroll. Along the way we also learned about nonsense language and how made-up words can function in a sentence....

The most exciting part of our day today was a trip to Te Puna O Waiwhetu, the Christchurch Art Gallery. We viewed exhibits and then had a chance to create some art ourselves...

Our theme word today was ‘party’ and together we wrote a poem with a difference. Our party poem was a celebration of words and our focus was on excellent vocabulary and originality of thought...
